Oh my Bekah! You have grown into such a beautiful young woman and I hope to be able to capture more of the special moments in your life.
Zach and Kelsey have been together for a year and 2 months and met through one of Kelsey’s college friends when Zach was on PCS. Her friend had sent her a snapchat of him with two guys and she messaged him back asking who the cute guy in the middle was and told her it was Zach. She asked if he was single and told him to give him her number. They texted for awhile from then on until Kelsey went to see him and they started dating the day after she left.
Oh the proposal! Sometimes these things just don’t go the way you want them to…. Zach had planned this really nice and romantic weekend in Greenville, SC and they went for a Christmas walk near the waterfalls. Zach sat down and thought right then that he was going to propose but Kelsey decided to sit on his lap instead and completely through Zach off and he got too nervous to propose so he didn’t do it! Kelsey recalls, “So when we got back to the hotel room we were goofing around and he went and hid under a burrito blanket and when I went to go mess with him he popped out from under it and proposed.”
And that was it! After a short time together they immediately knew that they were meant for each other.
I was finally able to do Amanda’s bridal portraits and she nailed it! We decided on a property with a beautiful house that has been turned into a wedding venue. This place is unbelievable. It is away from the busyness of the world and it has a fitting name, Somewhere in Time Manor.
Here’s a few of my favorites!
Lindsey’s bridal portraits were amazing and so much fun to do! I met Lindsey and her mom up in Greenville at Fall’s Park on the Reedy and it was magical. Lindsey’s mom Dawn made the beautiful boutique herself and it was beautiful! Here are a couple photos from that session.
Venue: Southern Oaks Events
Baker: Bailey’s Cakes
Florist: The brides sister!
Chris and Sarah got engaged on April 21 of 2018 and planned their big day at Southern Oaks Events in Gilbert, South Carolina. They met in the 4th grade and have been friends for 14 years and dating for 2 years. They both immediately describe their relationship as being carefree which is wonderful to me!
He proposed by stopping to ask a lady to take their picture while they were walking along Fernandina Beach at sunset and after she took a couple Chris said, “Wait, can you take one more?” and he pulled out the box, got down on one knee, and asked Sarah to marry him. Needless to say, the lady and Sarah were both shocked!
Of Course I asked why she chose Southern Oaks and she said, “I first saw Southern Oaks in pictures when one of my extended cousins got married there and I thought it was beautiful. So, I looked into it while doing (premature) research on wedding venues and availabilities and August 11 was one of the few Saturdays they had available for the end of this year. I knew it was the perfect time and the perfect place for our reception!” Their ceremony was held at a very special location, her home church, Red Bank Methodist Church in Red Bank, SC.
The most special and important moment for them both is seeing each other when the doors to the Sanctuary open and Sarah enters and the second, is their first kiss as a married couple!
I was apart of something so special! Katie's dad contacted me about a surprise engagement for his daughter and I just couldn't pass it up! Andrew's family had planned a party specifically so that he could propose to his high school sweetheart. I was surrounded by both of Andrew and Katie's closest friends and family while he led her to the backyard where everyone lined up with the letters "will you marry me" spelled out in balloons.
Katie's reaction was filled with surprise and shock as well as excitement. I had such a wonderful evening capturing this special moment and getting to know both of their families as well as their story.
Andrew and Katie met in high school and went to prom together and had been together ever since. They have both graduated college and are now going to different graduate schools in different states and Andrew decided to go ahead and seal the deal before Katie went off to Tennessee.
Katie was so surprised and never expected to be proposed to. She said that she thought that he was going to give her a horse as a going away gift but in a way he did! The engagement ring Andrew gave her has two horse shoes on either side which is a perfect touch.
My first time to Pawley's Island was for a family shoot and it was amazing. This family was perfect and I am so pleased with how this shoot turned out!
How perfect is this couple!! I had so much fun with Jeff and Nekedia and their twin girls! What started out as a great engagement shoot, ended up being a family session with the girls. I had such a great time with them and I can not wait for their wedding next May of 2019!
What a beautiful day for a senior session! Kelsey is from Texas and just finished her pharmaceutical degree at The University of South Carolina. She was so amazing to work with. We started at The Horseshoe at USC and then walked over to The State House to finish up and man did she nail this shoot!!
Here's just a couple of my favorites!
Oh my amazing are these two!! I thoroughly enjoyed meeting David and Katelyn and I can not wait for their wedding in December!
Richard and Victoria were so wonderful to work with! I can honestly say that I had a great time with these two every time I see them. Their wedding was absolutely perfect. We started off at the Rutledge Chapel in the University of South Carolina Horseshoe for the ceremony and wedding party photos and headed off to the South Carolina Alumni Center for the amazing reception. Here are just a couple of my favorite photos from their special day!
Wow... just wow! Victoria made a stunning bride! This was such a fantastic shoot. Victoria and Richard decided on the South Carolina Alumni Center as the reception for their wedding and so it was fitting to do Victoria's bridal portraits there. Victoria's mother said that as soon as she walked through the doors and saw that staircase, she was in love and I have to agree!
What a great looking family the Mogans! This shoot was actually done at the last minute at Saluda Shoals off of one of the trails.
My once a year visit with the Bridgers is always fun!
Marina was such a beautiful bride! She chose 701 Whaley for her bridal portraits and then totally rocked it! The pealing paint made for a beautiful contrast with Marina's super sexy and modern fitted dress. We then went outside next to the building where there are huge wooden doors that added another great architectural feature to her modern dress!
Holy cotton fields Batman!! Danielle and Austin killed it with this maternity session in the cotton field last week. They make such a cute couple and I'm so excited to meet their little bundle of joy.
